Reflection
At the beginning of this semester I didn’t pay much attention to testing my work. I used to think that if something looks aesthetic, it already is good enough.
I needed to make sure that my design choices and products were validated and improve the user-experience and usability. This meant I needed to test and validate my work properly to create something that truly met users needs.
I began testing everything that I’ve done for LO1, focusing on usability and user human-centered design. For example, I used the paper prototype method, something I’ve never done before and also did usability tests. I also explored new design softwares, like CapCut to make videos. I’ve never made or edited a video before, so besides creating products that are focused on human-centered design, I’m also proud that I took the initiative to learn new things like paper prototyping and CapCut.
Thanks to consistent testing, I can say that all my products/designs are far more user-friendly and effective without testing it. I know understand that a product only focused on aesthetics, isn’t a good product since it’s not focused on human needs. I’m proud. to say that every part of what I’ve made is tested that lead to a human-centered outcome.
